Trax was established in 1999 by Eddie Sloane on Preston Docks, Lancashire and for over 20 years has provided training and safe access to a variety of off-road and tarmac tracks as well as hosting top-flight British Championship motocross, quad and side car racing.

Trax has built a strong, professional reputation for developing the riding skills of young people through it’s on site education and training services.

From 2020 Trax MX is the new operator of all the tracks and has begun the process of developing the site into a state-of-the-art sports training and leisure facility for all abilities of motorcycle riders and participants.

To assist in developing Trax MX services, we have consulted with and listened to riders of all ages and abilities. By popular consensus ride time for training and personal development of riding skills was by far the number one request.

To ensure all riders get more track time we are offering an online Book In system, therefore there isn’t the opportunity to arrive and ride, you must book in online. This will help you get the most training time and guarantee you a great ride with your friends or teammates.

The two main objectives for Trax MX are:

  • to create a professional safe modern facility whilst
  • protecting the environment and maintaining a sustainable carbon footprint.

Trax MX has a no tear off policy on every track. Trax MX is the first to introduce a motocross environmental matt policy at a training facility that helps protect the environment from spilt harmful chemicals. Every rider must park their motorcycle on the matt when not being ridden on the track.

Trax MX is installing a AMB timing system on all tracks to capture training performance data which will be available to each rider trackside on their mobile phone at every session.

On site professional advice and guidance on fitness training and programmes, as well as healthy eating advice, will be available from Trax MX coaching staff.
